The US has struck Isis camps and militants in Syria, as Washington tries to forestall the terrorist group from rebuilding within the nation after the autumn of Bashar al-Assad’s regime.

The US’s precision air strikes, which have been carried out in former regime and Russian-controlled areas of Syria, killed 12 Isis terrorists, US Central Command stated on Monday.

There’s an ongoing US mission “to disrupt, degrade, and defeat Isis stopping the terrorist group from conducting exterior operations and to make sure that Isis doesn’t search alternatives to reconstitute in central Syria”, Centcom stated.

Washington and its regional companions won’t let Isis “make the most of the present state of affairs in Syria”, stated Gen Michael Erik Kurilla.
