A younger Texas Freeway Patrol trooper died over the weekend after he was wounded whereas investigating a automotive crash.
The Texas Division of Public Security (TXDPS) introduced the loss of life of Trooper Kevin Alexis Ramirez Vasquez, 25, in a press launch on Sunday. Ramirez Vasquez was responding to an accident when he was “struck by a automobile” on Tuesday morning.
“Trooper Ramirez Vasquez suffered severe accidents and was taken to Medical Heart Hospital in Odessa,” the division mentioned. “He was then airlifted to a Lubbock-area hospital the place he succumbed to his accidents on Sept. 28.”
The trooper, who’s survived by his mother and father and three siblings, joined the TXDPS in 2023 and was stationed in Odessa. He had additionally served within the U.S. navy, each earlier than and through his time as a trooper.
