Two dolphins have been rescued in Lee County, Florida, on Wednesday after turning into stranded within the shallow waters of a lagoon presumably greater than a month in the past.

The county sheriff’s workplace stated witnesses reported seeing the pair stranded deep within the mangroves close to Matlacha late Monday evening, prompting a rescue response Tuesday morning.

The two businesses have been unable to rescue the dolphins on Tuesday due to “technical and environmental challenges of trapping, lifting and transferring” the 2 grownup dolphins by way of “heavy mud,” so extra teams joined the efforts on Wednesday.

The FWC, LCSO, the Dolphin Analysis Program, the Brookfield Zoo Chicago-Sarasota, Clearwater Aquarium and Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium all met on the lagoon with extra gear to rescue the dolphins.
